All About Your Teacher

I attended West Ridge Elementary School in a little town called Park Ridge. I lived right on the border of New York State and New Jersey. My high school years started at 7th grade. I was a cheerleader for both basketball and football every year. My favorite classes included chemistry and writing. In 1986 I graduated with a small class of 114 students. I earned a scholarship from the Junior Woman's club that covered the cost of my college books. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in education at Glassboro State College in 1990. I am certified to teach all subjects and highly qualified in reading, language, and social studies in the middle school. I taught 5th,6,& 7th grade in Williamstown for nine years.  After having my daughter, Briana, I returned to teaching  but here in Gloucester Township. I began teaching 6th grade at Ann A. Mullen Middle School in 2000. The last two years I taught 7th grade there until I asked for a change back to the elementary level.  I am thrilled to have been accepted at Erial.

I got married to a fabulous man in 1996. Bill is a great dad and a successful varsity basketball coach at Deptford High School. Before our children came along we brought up a loyal rottweiler puppy, Roxanne. She prepared us well for our own little babies.  Briana (9yrs) loves to play softball and ride horses. Adam (6yrs) loves swimming and playing basketball. My family spends much time during the summer at our pool and taking vacations to Hilton Head Island and amusement parks.  I always begin each summer taking my student travel group, the Hoskins' Adventure Crew, somewhere for a week's experience in hands-on education. This summer we went to Costa Rica and are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon for July 2010. www.hoskinsadventurecrew.shutterfly.com

There are so many more things that you will learn about me throughout the year, and I can not wait to get to know you as well!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kelly Ann Hoskins
